First week results/Curvesarein

Day 7 my weight is 2.6 pounds down. Now at first I was disappointed. But all week was a carbfest! Spaghetti, pumpkin pie, tacos, bacon and eggs, potato soup. High fiber Pumpkin bread. Only vegetables were some raw brocolli one day, a salad another and V8 juice. No exercise either. I do feel better. No depression and racing thoughts and anxiety.
Blood pressure is 110/60

Hello,
I started the plan 2 days ago and Im working on pushing my window forward. Yesterday noon, today 2 pm due to the fact that I got home from visiting relatives at that time. My goal is to start my eating window at 4 pm. I would like to loose about 40 lbs.
My husband started today COLD TURKEY. What a guy!

Love to read about everyone's progress.

Hi curvesarein, thought I recognized you :-)
It's day one of week 4 for me, and it's been an absolute breeze. No hunger at ALL during my fast, and easily able to rein in my appetite during my eating window. I'm over the moon. I've only lost 1 kg since I started but that's fully in line with Dr Herring's projections and I'm happy with that. During my first 3 wks I did have a lot of "greedy" days, always within my window, but I was fearing that the WOE would only allow me to maintain, not lose. Now, I'm not worried and feel I'm on track. I feel like my hormones etc have clicked into a regulated state and from now on it will be easy. I've got a sweet tooth, and that is easing too... yay!

I have a LOT to lose (I need to do better than halve my current weight!) but as long as I lose the 1lb a week that Dr Herring says is "doable", then I will be quite satisfied.

I see lots of posts in this forum from people just starting, but not many at all for people in the ongoing stages. Please, if you have been on Fast-5 for some months/years, do post, because those posts are very encouraging for us newer ones!

I notice that too--that people who have been doing this awhile don't post. I am committed to doing this until I've reached my goal, so I'll be here. At some point I'll be a veteran. :)

Hi all, I joined 4 days ago and lost 3.6 lbs. Of course I realize it's water, and I might not see any other lost until 3 weeks so I'm staying positive.

Weighed myself today and I'm down 1.4lbs; lost 8 1/2 inches in total. This is day 17 for me.

Hi! I just began the Fast 5 way of eating 2 days ago. Though I haven't cheated, slipped, or otherwise consumed any calories except during the 5-hour window, I am in an AGONY of hunger all of the time - even during the night when I can't sleep because I'm so hungry! Please tell me that it gets easier, because common sense tells me that this is an effective way to manage my weight.

When you go "cold turkey," the third day is typically the hardest, hunger-wise. Your day tomorrow should be at least a little easier and soon you should see much more comfortable fasting. If it's not improving within a couple of days, keep in mind that if you keep pushing your body to adapt, it will -- even if you don't make it all the way every day.

Thanks! You're right! After day 3, I hardly think about food at all! It's gotten much easier!
Just curious... I'm on the end of day 6. All day yesterday & today I've been unusually tired. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the change in my eating schedule...?

I felt that too, I think it's when your body is starting to really focus on fat burning, because after that I started really feeling the ketosis and energy. It took about 2-3 days. Maybe eat a banana at the end of your window, that is what I started doing and feel great now. (End of week 3, 10 lbs and 3 inches of waist down)
